How You Can Join Omaha’s Circular Food Movement

What’s Happening?

Millwork Conversations is a late afternoon chat between Omaha’s creators, innovators, artists, thought leaders and activators. Millwork Conversations will provide an opportunity to learn from people across communities right here in Nebraska and across the country about new ideas and what’s possible – how to push past real and imagined boundaries. Each month will provide an inspiring, memorable experience for attendees through compelling conversations.

Joining us this month is Conversation Leader, Brent Crampton...

Brent Crampton is the Director of Partnerships with Hillside Solutions. He spends his days helping organizations transition out of the landfilling model and into the forthcoming zero waste age. Specifically there’s a lot of misconceptions of how recycling, composting, and landfilling work. He pulls back the curtain to reveal the truth and inspire action.

How You Can Join Omaha’s Circular Food Movement
Our food & waste management systems are broken. They are a consequence of our Western ideology that views the world from a linear perspective. But the future will be based in the ancient, indigenous ideology of circular thinking.

The good news is that the circular food movement in Omaha is alive and growing. Come to discover how you can break free from the take-make-waste model of the twentieth century. And what you can do today to participate in the solution.
