Use the Slides To Find Out What's EnergyBag-able
Many different types of plastics can go into the EnergyBag. Here are the 3 categories we suggest you focus on to keep this really simple.

1. Soft & Flimsy Plastics
Think about how soft and flimsy a chip bag is. These types of plastics should not directly go into your recycling cart, but rather first into an EnergyBag before making it into your recycling cart.

2. Styrofoam
All styrofoam, such as take-out containers, must be Energy Bag’ed.

3. Plastic Utensils
While they are hard & rigid — plastic forks, knives, and spoons must be Energy Bag’ed.

How EnergyBag Items are Separated
Place them in the Hefty EnergyBag, tie it shut, and place in the recycling container that we empty. If participating in dual-stream recycling, put these bags in the plastic/metal bin, not the cardboard/paper bin.

The End Result
There are plans to turn EnergyBag material into plastic goods like this. Read our blog in the action items list to get the latest on this project.
