Curious about composting on a large scale? Soil Dynamics is Nebraska’s only commercial composting farm—and it’s open for tours. Whether you're a student, a gardener, or a green-minded business, this is the perfect place to learn how food scraps become soil. Here’s what you need to know before you visit:
Getting There
It’s about 30 minutes from both Omaha and Lincoln. From I-80, take exit 426. Head south. Turn left on 292nd St as if heading to the Wildlife Safari Park. First right is the park entrance, second is the exit. You’ll take the 3rd right then follow the rock road until you see big piles of compost. Keep driving on right side until you reach the building.
